Welcome to the Bubblegum Markets! Thank you for your interest in holding a stall at our markets.

Bubblegum Markets is an exciting market in Whyalla which aims to showcase unique, boutique and handmade items for the people within our community. We welcome stall holders from all over country. Our stall holders are handpicked by the Bubblegum Markets team.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a range of artists, designers, crafters, food vendors, photographers, producers, musicians and community groups to ensure we have plenty of variety at our market. We aim to provide something that's different from mainstream shopping. We select stalls based on quality and priority is given to handmade first and foremost and to stalls that provide something that we believe to be unique or boutique.​ We pride ourselves on the quality and range at our market and therefore only accept a small number of stalls with similar wares.
 

 

The details for the market are as follows:

 

Date: Sunday 3rd May, 2015

 

Where: Samaritan College Hall, Norrie Ave

 

Time: 10am - 3pm   

 

Customer Entry Cost: Gold Coin Donation

 

All proceeds from the Bubblegum Markets will be donated to a nominated charity.

 

 

 

Stallholder Fee for the market is $70. Inside stallholders can also request a corner stall this time around which will allow more room for your products. These stalls will be $80. If you wish to have a powered site (inside or outside) there is a $10 surcharge to cover costs. Community groups, charities and sporting clubs receive 50% off of this price. This fee must be paid within 2 weeks of your acceptance into the market and you will be provided with bank transfer details upon selection via email.

 

This cost includes:​

​

  • A Stall Allocation on Market Day

  • 3m frontage x 2m depth of space for a full stall or approximately 3m frontage x 2m side x 2m depth for a corner stall (inside stallholders)

  • Public Liability Insurance for the market (not your goods)

  • Market Advertising through various media ​

Market Advertising includes:

Advertising in local and online media

Distribution of flyers and posters

Newspaper Advertisements

Television Adverts

Online Social Networking

While we would love to include everyone in our markets, we have a limited number of stall spaces. Our team will make our selections carefully, whilst also ensuring that there are a variety of stalls on offer for customers. Thank you for your understanding.

 

 Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUBBLEGUM MARKETS​


1.      Upon arrival stall holders are to make contact with the Bubblegum Market Site Manager
         for site allocation at the front door. The decision on site allocation is final and no

         changes will be made on the day.

​

2.       All stall holders must be ready for trading by 9.30am on market day and must

          keep their stalls open continuously between 10am and 3pm. After 3pm stallholders can  

          dismantle their stall. Stalls must not be dismantled before the market is closed

          regardless of whether you have anything left to sell or not.

 

3.       All products MUST adhere to Australian Safety Standards. You will need to do your own
          research into this, especially when dealing with imported goods. If we believe products 
          do not meet safety standards we have the right to ask you to remove them.

4.       All stallholders must supply their own tables and tableclothes. Should you wish to have a           chair, this must be supplied by the stallholder also. It is the expectation that the                

          stallholders will ensure their stalls are presented well and that they keep their displays &           signs confined to their allocated stall area. This is a must to ensure aisles are clear & safe           for customers. Tablecloths must touch the floor.

 

5.       Stallholders are only authorised to sell products that they have applied for in their                       application. Should you wish to sell anything else on your stall, you must request via                   email for permission. Our aim is to ensure that we have a large range and that                             stallholders are not disadvantaged in any way on the day by stallholders selling things                 that we already have our quota of.

6.       Promotional material of events which have dates coinciding to future Bubblegum

          Markets cannot be displayed on market day.

 

7.       Payment for your stall at Bubblegum Markets must be paid within 14 days of receiving 
          your successful applicant email. Failure to do so will result in your stall being    

          re-allocated.  No reminder emails will be given.

 

8.       All electrical equipment, including extension cords and power leads must be tagged

          and tested by a qualified electrician.  Equipment will be checked by the Market Site 

          Manager on the day. Any equipment not meeting these requirements will be refused. 
          NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!  N.B. No facility will be available on the day for tagging and testing.

 

9.       Stallholders must agree not to sell any goods that are deemed illegal under Australian 
          Law. All items must be family friendly.

10.       Product & personal security is the responsibility of the stallholder.

​

11.     All stallholders are required to ask Bubblegum Markets permission to use images,

          business name & details for Bubblegum Markets promotional use.

 

12.     Any outside market stallholders will provide their own site covering, i.e. Pergola, 
          marquee, tent and all equipment including tables, chairs and extension cords (tagged).
          These are to be weighted down to minimalize the risk of them moving. 

​

13.     Food stallholders must be registered and insured & provide us with copies of   

           appropriate Insurance & licenses before the market date. Failure to do so will result in   

           the cancellation of your stall.

 

14.     Food stall holders MUST cover all products at all times & use appropriate hygiene 

          procedures. i.e. gloves, food covers etc. as per the food safety standards and

15.    Stallholders are responsible for leaving their stall site & surrounding area clean & tidy as
          when they arrived. This includes disposing of all rubbish in an appropriate manner.  We 

          ask that you do not use the bins around the market as these are for the use of our

          customers. 

 

16.     There will be NO refund on your stall if you decide to cancel.  All stall places are to be
          chosen by Bubblegum Markets & therefore cannot be sold by you to any other

          businesses.

 

17.     If there are damages to the venue due to negligence of the stallholder, cost will be

          invoiced & paid by the stallholder.  Please ensure that if you are using trestle tables that

          the capping on the legs of the tables is adequate as this may damage flooring.

 

18.     Stallholders have agreed that the terms of Public Liability insurance do not cover 

          product insurance. This is the responsibility of the stall holder. Therefore any loss, theft 

          or damage to items on your stall is your responsibility.

 

19.     The stall holder hereby indemnifies & holds Bubblegum Markets & its owners harmless
          against all claims or loss arising from connection with or in relation to the market.

20.     Bubblegum Markets has the right to withdraw any applications or stallholders who do

          not comply with the terms & conditions or are in dispute with Bubblegum Markets or                 any persons associated with the market.

 

21.     Bubblegum Markets has the right to add further terms and conditions at any time to

           improve Bubblegum Markets in general.
